The Broads National Park is the largest wetland in Britain. It consists of an inter-connected river system, with seven main rivers and 63 broads (small lakes) and has the most diverse wildlife in the UK. A large part of the Broads area is protected by international regulations and the destination is working actively for the conservation of its rich natural and cultural assets. The Broads holds the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas since 2006.
